12/30/16-The Club at Crazy Horse Ranch
Played Crazy Horse, a semi-private enclave in Salinas, California with a good friend of mine and three other members. I really enjoyed the experience not only from the company of playing with four very good players but the welcoming and accommodative staff and general ambience of the place. I like the golf course that only measures 6,106 from the tips but has a slope of 130 which is an unusual combination. The greens were terrific and among the best I’ve seen in Northern California. Hit the ball well but didn’t make any putts until the 17th (the number 1 handicap hole). This hole is an uphill 380 yard par 4 which demands two terrific shots to a treacherous green. A candidate for my hardest hole section of Golf Chronicles II.
